Our Work

ZULUWE helps adults and children in KwaZulu-Natal, a province in the west of South Africa and home to the Zulu people. Despite the abolition of the apartheid in 1994, the difference between white and black people in South-Africa is still huge. The apartheid may be formally over, but the black population is still living in its shadow. The new government simply does not have the resources to provide the majority of the population with the facilities they need such as adequate housing, health care and a decent education. In many places, but especially KwaZulu Natal, unemployment is exceptionally high and disease is rife making people powerless to make the changes they need.

ZULUWE offers personal help on a small scale. The accent lays on sustainable help to build a brighter future through education. This kind of help gives individuals and their families the chance to escape poverty.
